Things To Do

Lakewood Camps offers tons of fun activities for family vacations that offer something for all ages. There’s great swimming right in front of the cabins, with a sandy beach to relax or play on. We even have horseshoes. There are walking trails for viewing the local flora and fauna, or just getting a little exercise. For the paddling set, we have free canoes you can use to explore the shoreline or beyond. We also provide free life jackets for the kids. Motorboats for lake cruising are also available for rent.

Other amenities include comfortable Adirondack chairs where you can relax and watch the lake or get into a great summer book. We also have picnic tables and outdoor board games, camp fire pits tailor-made for ghost stories and marshmallows, porch rockers, and a camp dock that’s perfect for children to fish off. Be sure to bring your own rods and spinning reels.

Learn to Fly cast – Family Special!

Another family favorite activity is our Fly-casting Family Special. The whole family can learn the art of fly-casting in a true north woods setting, with instruction from a Registered Maine Guide. All family members 10 years of age and older are welcome, and fly fishing rods are included.
