Upon arriving in the town of Andover: Call Lakewood Camps 207-243- 2959, let Maureen know you have arrived in Andover ( In advance, you have given her an approximate arrival time).
If you get a voice mail, just leave a message that you are headed to South Arm, Maureen will check messages. Once Maureen hears from you, she will send the boat down the lake to South Arm. Maureen must hear from you before you head to South Arm, there is no cell coverage at South Arm and there is often no one around to offer instructions. Instructions to Lakewood Camps boat dock and parking area at South Arm: The drive is about 20 minutes from Andover. At the four corner stop, take a right onto route 120 (Elm Street); go over a small bridge.
Right after the bridge, you will see a sign on the left side of the road that reads ‘South Arm’ and points to the road on the left. That is South Arm road. Take South Arm road, travel approximately 15 minutes. You will pass South Arm Campground and then a public dock, both on the left hand side of the road. The next boat dock is Lakewood Camps, also on the left. Once your party has arrived at our parking area and dock, park your car and bring your gear on to the dock.
Our boat driver will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please be advised, due to fuel costs, we are going to try to coordinate other parties that are arriving approximately the same time your party arrives.
