Guided and unguided upland bird hunting is now available at Lakewood Camps.

Maureen and Whit will be you hosts. We have access to well over 30,000 acres of land for this activity. Camp is located inside a locked gate.  All areas are accessible by foot or a short drive by truck from camp, while never stepping foot on paved roads. The area provides a good range of cover, with many sites providing a good chance for the daily bag limit of grouse. Woodcock are regularly sited, as Western Maine and Northern New Hampshire is a fly over for this great migratory bird. We can recommend several area Registered Maine Guides with thirty years of hunting experience in this neck of the woods. They can provide dogs if need be. We will provide three home cooked meals each day during your stay, with our traditional lake view dining. The accommodations will be in our first four cabins, facing east toward the lake and sun rise. They can sleep four guest, and the last three cabins, two guest each. We offer two day and three day stays. Monday through Wednesday, and Thursday through Saturday respectively. Arrival times will be arranged with Maureen upon your reservation. We welcome your dogs, and your enthusiasm for this great traditional sport.

Rates 150.00 per person per night.  7% Tax and Gratuity not included.
Guides and dogs extra.
